Though this is the "second" version of the 1968 Corgi "The Beatles Yellow Submarine" (as indicated by the red hatches and lack of red striping) it is still highly sought-after by Beatles collectors, and especially in such exemplary unsullied condition. Also included is a 1969 Corgi Toy Catalogue which features the toy on the first page. Why Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was given the cover instead of The Beatles is beyond us, but there you have it. The box measures 6 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches and presents with only the most minor wear to the edges, but remains incredibly clean. The thick cellophane window is only slghtly wavy but intact, as is the inerior "waves" insert that holds the toy. Though not removed for inspection, the toy itself appears free of defects. Near Mint to Mint condition.
