Offered is a Santa Claus suit and Santa Claus trophy owned by Elvis Presley. The Santa suit emanates from the Lee Lynch collection, and the trophy was acquired from the Dolan Street house next to Graceland where Vernon Presley lived. Lee Lynch was a big Elvis fan who began acquiring Elvis' personal items in the late 1970s. She often purchased items like this Santa suit directly from Elvis' Aunt Delta, who would from time to time sell items to collectors with whom she became acquainted such as Lee and Jimmy Velvet. Lee's handwritten note concerning the suit reads: "this suit have been [sic] wore to play Santa Clause for Lisa at Christmas by Elvis and his father Vernon in 1974 and 1973 at Christmas." The suit is also accompanied by a letter by Lee's son, Gary Lynch,  listing the suit when it was sold to another collector. The suit includes the top, pants, plastic belt and boot covers and inner shirt with"E.P." written on the chest. Near Mint condition.

The Santa trophy, measuring 15 inches in height, has a plaque that reads "Merry Christmas Elvis / December 25, 1974 / Best Santa Claus All Time". The light-hearted award must have been given to Elvis by one of his buddies. Vernon was normally in charge of playing Santa at Graceland, but the trophy may indicate that Elvis at least occasionally took a turn. God knows he always gave the best gifts! The trophy is accompanied by an LOA from noted collector Chris Davidson detailing acquiring the award from the later owners of the home on Dolan Street where Vernon lived. Near Mint condition.
