The offered clown outfit, complete with hat, has been signed by Cher and Sonny Bono. The classic clown suit was worn on The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour" which ran from 1971 to 1974. The show featured comedy sketches and musical numbers and featured every major Hollywood, music and sports star of the era as guests. The show's cast members included Teri Garr, Murray Langston (The Unknown Comic), Bob Einstein (Super Dave Osborne) and Steve Martin, who was also on the show's writing staff. The offered suit has been signed in marker "Sonny Bono" and "Love Cher," and is complete with hat and separate ruffled collar. In the accompanying LOA from "Funtyme Memorabilia," the suit is purported to have been worn by Cher on a 1972 episode. It measures 55 inches long and presents with little wear. Near Mint condition.
