Offered are the financial statements for Elvis Presley's February 5-26, 1956, concert tour. The tour consisted of 54 concerts in 22 days in 18 cities, with Elvis sometimes playing four shows in a single day! The statements are a fascinating glimpse into the inner workings of Elvis' 1950's tours, with totals for "Gross Receipts" at more than $50,000. The onion skin sheets, signed twice by Colonel Tom Parker's right hand man Tom Diskin, also include the amount of $1,425 for "3 Weeks Contract Blue Moon Boys." We can't imagine why the boys were disgruntled! There's also a line item for "Hatch Show Print" for $705.36--this is the company that made Elvis' concert posters. Interestingly, the only show from the tour not included is the February 25, 1956, appearance on The Louisiana Hayride in Shreveport, Louisiana. This is most-likely because these appearances were dealt with on a separate agreement. There are also expenses for "William Morris," "Hill & Range" (Elvis' song publishing company), and "R.C.A. Victor Transportation Expenses." There are four onion skin sheets, two of which measure 8 ½ x 11 inches and two of which 8 ½ x 14 inches. The pages present in Near Mint condition with only a bit of wear from filing.
