Offered is an original news service photo of Elvis Presley performing that was published on August 8, 1956. Elvis performed in St. Petersburg, Florida, just prior to that date, and in Lakeland, Tampa and Miami in the days before that. The photo still maintains its original clipping form initial publication, as well as other newsroom markings on the reverse. Sadly, the photo was later marked "DECEASED", a common filing action taken in large newspaper photo archives. The photo measures 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 inches and presents with edge wear and some toning and expected newsroom markings. Excellent condition.
