The offered United Press Association original news service photo shows Elvis Presley being mobbed by autograph-seeking fans in Los Angeles as he arrives to film his first movie, Love Me Tender. The photo maintains its original paper caption, which reads "PRESLEY FOR PRESIDENT Fans crowd rock-and-roll singer Elvis Presley at the airport in Los Angeles. Unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on your view, most of Presley's fans are too young to vote for him next month. The controversial singer is in Hollywood to make his first movie, 'Love Me Tender.' 10/17/56." The photo was most-likely was taken on September 30, when Elvis landed in Los Angeles to finish up recording for the film. The photo measures 7 x 9 inches and, newsroom markings aside, presents in stunning Near Mint condition.
