Extensive Tarzan Studio Issued Photo Collection with Johnny Weissmuller, Gordon Scott, Lex Barker and Others (54 Pieces)

The collection spans more than 60 years of Hollywood Tarzans, with Johnny Weismuller, Lex Barker, Gordon Scott and others. It should be noted that while all the photos do appear to be studio-issued, many are from later eras than the original productions, especially in Weismuller's case. Films include Tarzan the Ape Man (including the one with Bo Derek), Tarzan and His Mate, Tarzan and His New York Adventure, Tarzan Triumphs, Tarzan's Fight for Life, Tarzan and the Great River, Tarzan Goes to India, Tarzan's Savage Fury and Greystoke: Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes. Whew! That's a lot of Tarzan. There are also seveal pieces that are autographed in the group: Johnny Sheffield (who played “Boy” in 8 Tarzan films), Denny Miller (the first blonde Tarzan in 1959 film), and two photos signed by Herman Brix, where he also includes his stage name Bruce Bennett. Brix was going to be the Tarzan for the 1931 film, but he broke his shoulder, and the role went to Weissmuller. The rest is history... The photos measure 8 x 10 inches and present in Excellent condition overall with a few lesser.
