As the west coast secretary for Elvis Presley and Colonel Tom Parker, Trude Forsher was an integral part of the Elvis machine in Hollywood during her tenure between 1956 and 1961. Much of Elvis’ time was spent on the West Coast as he filmed 31 motion pictures for the movie studios in Hollywood during the ‘50s and ‘60s. His film catalog includes 12 pictures for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), 9 pictures for Paramount, 4 pictures for United Artists, 3 pictures for 20th Century Fox and 1 picture each for Allied Artists, National General and Universal. Offered is a collection of early stationery and lot passes from Trude’s own personal archive that includes:

  • Trude Forsher’s 1957 MGM Studio Lot ID Card which reads in part, “Business Pass / Issued to Trude Forsher / Secretary to Col. Parker,” and measures 2 1/4 by 3 1/2 inches;
  • Trude Forsher’s 1960 Paramount Pictures ID Card issued to, and signed by, Trude Forsher, measuring 2 1/4 by 3 1/2 inches;
  • Paramount Pictures letterhead, measuring 11 by 8 1/2 inches; and
  • Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer envelope, measuring 10 ¼ x 4 inches.
