Offered is a massive colorized artwork of the legendary portrait of Babe Ruth by baseball photographer Charles Conlon. Over 20 years ago, a private collector had a clean copy of Conlon's portrait of Ruth scanned at the highest resolution possible and then had it professionally colorized to produce the impressive, dare we say haunting, image before you. Conlon's genius behind the camera produced some of the most historically important images of Hall of Fame baseball players of the early 20th Century, this Ruth portrait among them. The offered artwork is worthy of comparison in artistic execution, and its size compliments the accomplishments of its subject. The artwork measures 30 x 40 inches and is framed to an overall size of 40 x 50 inches with an elaborate and gilded gold frame. The print finish is chromaluxe aluminum with dye sublimation process.
