Nolan Ryan played five seasons for the Mets and was most notably a member of the 1969 "Miracle Mets." This throwback style Mets jersey is signed by Ryan in blue Sharpie and inscribed "1969 Miracle Mets," a phrase not well liked by Cubs fans. The "Miracle" moniker was earned by those 1969 Mets because in the previous seven seasons, they had lost at least one hundred games five times. However, they overcame mid-season difficulties in '69 while the division leaders for much of the season, the Chicago Cubs, suffered a late-season collapse. The Mets finished 100–62, eight games ahead of the Cubs and went on to defeat the Baltimore Orioles in the World Series. Accompanied by a COA from Beckett Authentication.
