After John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960, it was only natural that other Democratic candidates around the country would want to ride those coattails in the elections in 1961. The offered local Philadelphia campaign poster for the elections on Tuesday, November 7, 1961, does just that, and makes no bones about it! "Elect the Team which supported John F. Kennedy for President" is the headline, and the urge to action is to "VOTE STRAIGHT DEMOCRATIC!" The advice was heeded, apparently, because both James C. Crumplish and Alexander Hemphill were both victorious, for District Attorney and City Controller respectively. The poster measures 14 x 22 inches and presents with just some age-related toning and a few very small stains on the reverse. Near Mint condition.
