The offered Carl Horner portrait of Homer Smoot most-likely dates to 1906, the year he was traded from St. Louis to Cincinnati based on the writing on the reverse, where most of the work "Cincinnati" can be discerned. The photo, mounted on cabinet, measures 3 1/8 x 4 1/8 inches and presents with wear and distresses, as well as painting around the letters of his uiform, comensurate wtih newsroom use. Very Good to Excellent condition.
