The offered Carl Horner portrait of 1909 Boston Red Sox rookie pitcher Larry Pape was used a few years later for his 1912 E270-2 Colgan's Chips Tin Tops card. Pape was traded from Boston after 1912, but after a series of transactions, never played in the major leagues again. He died of cancer at the age of 33. The photo measures 3 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches and presents with minor album page paper on the reverse, but the image quality is spectacular. Excellent condition.
