Offered is a great little collection of five different 1956 Carl Perkins SUN Records 78 RPM singles. The impact and importance of Perkins' seminal work in rock and roll cannot be overstated. Coming right on the heels of Elvis, Perkins' song "Blue Suede Shoes" was one of The King's most successful early hits. Perkins's songs were recorded by artists The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Johnny Cash and Eric Clapton, cementing his prominent place in the history of popular music. Paul McCartney said "if there were no Carl Perkins, there would be no Beatles."

This group of five Sun Singles includes: #234 "Blue Suede Shoes" / "Honey, Don't" (GD+, label intact but worn), #249 "Dixie Fired" / "I'm Sorry I'm Not Sorry" (VG+ with gorgeous clean label iwth the small paper loss), #261 "Matchbox" / "Your True Love" (VG+ very clean label), #243 "Boppin' the Blues" / "All Mama's Children" (EX, very clean label), and #287 "Glad All Over" / "Lend Me Your Comb" (what should have been a MINT record presents with some sort of distress in the dead wax area of the B side, technically VG because of it)

1956 Carl Perkins SUN Records 78 RPM Collection of Five Incl. "Blue Suede Shoes", "Dixie Fired", "Matchbox" and Others (5)
