The offered "Dell Publishing Co." original news photo captures Elvis Presley at The New Frontier Hotel in Las Vegas during his engagement in April and May 1956. This image is from the shoot that produced the famous photo by Modern Screen magazine photographer Bob Beerman showing Elvis in front of the 40 ft. tall sign of himself. The photo is stamped with the magazine's imprint on the reverse with the date "May 3, 1956" indicating this print emanates from that year. The Dell stamp indicates it was used later, in 1964, in Hollywood Life Stories magazine in an article that Elvis would have HATED entitled "Elvis Presley: Elder Statesman of Rock and Roll." The photo measures 8 x 10 inches and presents with editorial markings, minor edge wear and small creases. Near Mint condtion.
