The offered three "Wide World Photos" original news service photographs are from Elvis Presley's July 1, 1956 appearance on The Steve Allen Show. The first is from the infamous "Hound Dog" scene on the show, and the second is from a sketch Elvis performed with Allen. The second's original paper caption is included and reads "Elvis Presley, singer, right, is shown performing on The Steve Allen Show (TV) at The Hudson Theatre, NYC. Others are Imogene Coca, left, and Steve Allen, center: 7/10/56." The final is a well-known shot of Elvis relaxing backstage after filming the sketch. All three present with the "Wide World Photos" back stamping from the period. Each measures 7 1/2 x 9 1/2 inches and present in very well-preserved Near Mint to Mint condition.
