The offered one sheet movie poster promotes Elvis Presley''s very first film, the 1956 classic Love Me Tender. The film was originally entitled The Reno Brothers, but was famously renamed in the wake of the single "Love Me Tender" going to the top of the charts prior to the film''s release. While he was already a rising star in the nascent world of rock and roll, he still only warranted third billing behind co-stars Richard Egan and Debra Paget. That would never happen again. Granted, his image, with a guitar no less, does dominate the artwork, and the headline reads "Mr. Rock N Roll in the story he was born to play." This poster is the beginning of any great Elvis movie poster collection. The poster measures 27 x 41 inches and presents with some minor paper lost, some staining, mild wrinkling and the original factory folds. There are areas of tape staining on the reverse. One tape repair top left. Very Good to Excellent condition.
