Offered is a 1957 real estate proposal for Elvis Presley from the Virginia Grant Realty Co.--Virginia Grant is the realtor that sold the Presley's Graceland in March of 1957. The proposal, addressed to Col. Tom Parker, offers a 7500 acre property near Oxford, Mississippi that Virginia thought might interest the Presley's as an "excellent investment for the future." Grant has signed the letter in blue ink and included her business card. Also included is an office copy of the response from Tom Diskin, dated September 16, 1957, explaining that "all matters pertaining to investments in property and of a similar nature are handled directly by the Presley family." It's an interesting set of correspondence from the enterprising realtor trying to make another big sale to the rising star from Memphis!

The ensemble of documents emanates directly from Graceland, and was offered as lot "A169" in the 1999 Graceland Archives Auction in Las Vegas. The original certificate of authenticity from the auction is also included. The group is still matted in its original display used at the auction with its original auction tag on the reverse. The display measures 33 x 16 1/2 inches. All documents are still encased in plastic sheets. Near Mint condition.
