Elvis Presley's manager Colonel Tom Parker sent the offered letter to their west coast Hollywood secretary, Trude Forsher. The letter is dated December 28, 1959, and it reads: "Thanks so vey much for the flowers received Christmas, there also was a package received here with an ashtray inside from Bullocks but there was no card in the box, so we thought perhaps it was from you so thanks for this also in event it was from you, as we had no way of knowing other than guessing. Give our best to the boys and a Happy New Year to you all. Also our best to Nicky Adams and his Mrs." The letter is simply signed "Col." The letterhead has "ELVIS PRESLEY" typed into the "Thomas A. Parker" logo. Also included is a carbon copy of Trude's response on January 14, 1960, that reads in part: "The other day while watching Dave Garaway [sic] (on The Today Show), he made a great point of your Christmas Card, they were discussing cards, he hardly mentioned them, except when it came to the card from Elvis and the Colonel." Both sheets present with wear from filing. Excellent to Mint condition overall.
