Offered is an usher's badge used to promote Elvis Presley's 1966 film Frankie and Johnny. These badges were offered to theater owners via the National Screen Service among the other movie posters, banners and standees used to promote films that were coming soon or playing in their movie houses. In the period pressbooks for Elvis' films, references to these badges can be seen among the banners and valances that were available from the "National Flag and Display Company" in New York (an image from the pressbook for Frankie and Johnny is shown here for reference). The silkscreened nylon badge measures 8 1/4 x 4 inches and presents in unused, pristine Near Mint to Mint condition.
