1978 Lord of the Rings Prototype Mylar File Copy Poster

Offered is an extremely rare prototype file copy mylar poster for the 1978 film Lord of the Rings. It is one of only 7 prototypes created during the project (plus 1 proof print) by California company Reflective Mirrorized Art. They produced the prototype posters to be part of the merchandising for the film, but the marketing budgets for the film was reduced and the posters never went into full production. The poster utilizes the same artwork from the film's famous one sheet, with Gandalf the Grey towering above the two Hobbits, Frodo Baggins and Samwise Gamgee, but with the reflective mylar material the imagery comes to life!
