The offered Carl Horner portrait of Jim Delahanty hails from 1904 or 1905, the two years he was with Boston. The photo was also used for his 1910 M116 Sporting Life card. The newsroom stampings on the reverse indicate that the image was used for a story on March 4, 1909, in The Cleveland News--Delahanty was in a salary dispute with his current team, the Washington Nationals, and was threatening to not play in 1909 and instead coach at Western Reserve College of Cleveland. The photo measures 3 3/18 x 4 1/4 inches and presents with various editorial markings and stampings and is in Excellent condition.
