The offered firearm is a Wischo-KG Erlangen Model 11 Serial number 32704, .25 caliber (6.35 mm) semi-automatic gun marked on the barrel with “SM” and “Made in Germany” that was personally owned by Elvis Presley. The firearm is offered with a notarized letter from Richard H. Grob, Elvis’ bodyguard from 1967 to 1977, in which Richard describes in detail their shared passion for firearms and the enjoyment they experienced in discussing, practicing and purchasing firearms together. Richard further mentions:

In the 1970’s Elvis frequented Palm Springs, California where he had a house. During these visits he often went to the police shooting rage to fire different weapons. He also visited several gun stores located in the city. One of his favorites was Tiny’s Gun Store where he purchased or traded for many weapons and other items. Tiny, the owner, admired one of Elvis’ rings and Elvis asked him if he wanted to trade for it. Tiny said yes and offered several items for the trade. One such item was a Wischo-KG.Erlangen, Model 11, serial number 32704, 25 Caliber (6.35mm), a semi automatic pistol, probably made by K. A. Reck Company, which was at one time Germany’s largest producer on [sic] inexpensive weapons. … I advised Elvis that this was a good small concealed weapon and it was one of the items he traded for the ring. Elvis later shot the weapon several times at the police range. Elvis carried this weapon concealed in his boot, either hidden in his sock or directly in the boot, on stage in Las Vegas. During one of his kicks the weapon fell out of his boot and skidded across the stage. I later retrieved it and Elvis gave it to me, saying that it was too small.

The diminutive weapon measures 3 1/4 by 4 1/2 inches (8.21 x 11.43 cm) and is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated. The gun is housed in an elaborate display the includes copies of the Graceland letter and the page from the original Graceland Auctions catalog when the gun was authenticated and sold some years ago.

PLEASE NOTE: In accordance with federal firearm requirements, the winning bidder will receive the gun directly from the consignor via a Federal Firearms licensee in their area. The winning invoice will be paid to Rockhurst Auctions, and we can help arrange the simple transfer of the firearm to the winning bidder.
