Offered is Elvis Presley's owned and driven 1967 Lincoln Continental. Elvis' love of Cadillacs is well known, but he owned a large number of Lincoln automobiles as well, going all the way back to his 1956 Lincoln Continental Mark II. Elvis drove the offered beauty extensively after he purchased it for his father Vernon Presley in January 1969 (see photos at right).

Elvis' purchased perhaps 100s of cars during his lifetime, giving away many of them to family, friends, business associates and just girls he met in dealerships! But he actually drove only a relatively select few, including this Lincoln. In the early 1980s, the car was sold to noted collector Mike Moon, who put the vehicle on display in his famous Elvis Museum in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, where it remained for four decades before it was sold to its current owner. The car is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from "Mike L. Moon Investments" with reads:

This 1967 Lincoln Continental 4 door Hardtop (VIN 7Y82G833880) was purchased by Elvis Presley for his father, Vernon Presley at Schilling Motors, Inc. in Mephis. This vehicle was driven, both by Vernon as well as Elvis, during the mid to late 60s in and around Memphis.

Elvis preferred this style of car on long trips to Los Angeles and Las Vegas so he and his Memphis Mafia could take turns driving. While Elvis preferred driving Cadillacs in the 50s, he was known to drive several models made by Lincoln throughout his lifetime.

This vehicle was purchased by Mike Moon of Georgia in the early 80s. He displayed it at the Elvis Museum in Pigeon Forge, TN for over 40 years.

Also included with the car are seven document copies certified by the State of Tennessee Motor Vehicle Division in March of 1978, including the car's original title, tax receipt and Schilling Motors, Incorporated Bill of Sale. The winning bidder will also receive the car's current title upon completion of the sale and delivery of the car, which will be arranged for and paid for by the winning bidder, with the assistance of Rockhurst Auctions. Also included is a 1967 Lincoln Continental sales brochure.

After being on displayed and rarely started or driven during the years it was owned by Mike Moon, the car has undergone several repairs to bring it back to working condition, including having the transmission and engine completely rebuilt. Invoices for this work will be provided to the winning bidder. This is a truly special opportunity to acquire an absolutely iconic vehicle owned and driven by Elvis Presley.
