Offered is the February 1976 contract signed by Elvis Presley for the doomed "Presley's Center Courts" business venture. This is perhaps one of the most important Elvis Presley business documents to surface in many years. The contract secures the land on which the "Racquet Ball of Memphis" corporation will build "Presley's Center Courts." The three-page contract, plus one addendum page, is signed by Elvis Presley, Joe Esposito, Dr. George Nichopoulos and the other interested parties. Amazingly, the contract had FOUR handwritten changes which ALSO HAD TO BE INITIALLY BY ELVIS.

In 1976, Elvis started this doomed business investment venture with his physician Dr. Nick. Land was purchased, construction plans were organized, bank accounts were opened, memberships were offered, business cards were printed and bills started to be charged to Elvis. When the venture began mounting large debts and encountering issues, these hurdles could not be overcome and eventually resulted in the project’s demise. After opening in April 1976, the courts were closed later that same summer.

Also included is one of Elvis’ personal business cards, with the “TCB” logo in gold in the upper right corner and the Presley Center Courts logo with four racquetball racquets in the upper left. The card reads “Elvis Presley, Chairman of the Board.” The contract is accompanied by an LOA from Beckett Authenticated. It measures 11 x 14 inches and presents with expected wear from handling. Excellent condition.
