Offered is a George Harrison 1986 handwritten card sent to noted British luthier Tony Zemaitis thanking him for a 12-string guitar that was sent to Harrison. The card reads "Tony & Ann- - Thanks again for the wonderful 12 string - it really sounds great and looks beautiful! You really know how to build 'em!! Lots of Love - George." Harrison also penned "Hello ---- Good Morning." on the front of the card. A snapshot of the guitar is paper clipped to the inside of the card
Beatles signed pieces abound in the world, but writing concerning guitars and instruments are extremely rare. We catch Harrison here expressing real passion about his art when presented with an extraordinary instrument. Furthemore, the missive is a touching insight into the kind spirit of Harrison, taking the time to personally handwrite a "thank you" to Zemaitis for the guitar.
Tony Zemaitis is known for the "metal top" electric guitars he developed in the 1970s. He famously created custom guitars for artists like Ronnie Wood, Keith Richards, Ronnie Lane, David Gilmour and Eric Clapton.
The small card is accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentic. Near Mint condition.
