This comprehensive collection of stationery encompasses the evolution of multiple phases of Elvis’ career in one amazing grouping. It goes from his earliest days in 1955 when the stationery mimicked the pictorial personal appearance contract used by the Colonel through to the Boxcar Enterprises, a corporation founded in 1974 by Elvis and the Colonel to consolidate the licensing of Elvis’ image on merchandising. The collection includes such treasured ephemera as Thomas A. Parker covered wagon “We Cover the Nation” stationery, Elvis Presley Music Inc. pink stationery with Elvis’ image used in the 1950s, the rare Elvis Presley Show letterhead, and White Haven Music, Inc. at 1619 Broadway, the most coveted musical address in NYC in the early 1960s.
