Batman co-creator Bob Kane has signed and inscribed and done a nice drawing of his most famous character on the cover of this December 1978 issue of Batman, #306. "For Bill 'Bat Wishes' Bob Kane" is placed right next to the tidy profile of Batman. Kane was a willing autograph signer, and was quick to do a presentation sketch of Batman for his adoring fans, but not too many of them thought to get him to put Batman on a Batman comic! Kane created one of the most famous superheroes in history, along with comic book writer Bill Finger, for DC Comics in 1939. Batman first appears in issue #27 of Detective Comics. The beloved, brooding Batman has been the subject of countelss comics, books, animated series and, of course, films. The book measures 6 ¾ x 10 1/8 inches and presents with a few distresses, but none of them interfere with the artwork or signature. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentic.
