Offered is a MINT condition FULL ticket for the Woodstock Music and Art Fair for Saturday, August 16, 1969. The “$8.00” ticket was among the famous “Cross Safe Company” find of Woodstock tickets in 1981, and hence it was saved from the rain, mud, blood, sweat and God knows what else that could have sullied it. The ticket is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity from Norman Karp that reads: “I hereby certify this (these) original and authentic 1969 Woodstock Ticket(s) printed by Globe Ticket Company as genuine and from the cache of Woodstock Tickets I purchased from the Cross Safe Company in 1981.” Karp had actually attended Woodstock in 1969, and already had a small stash of unused tickets he was given by show promoters as a thank you for his help repairing some golf carts used that weekend. In 1981, when Karp purchased the safes formerly used by “Woodstock Ventures” from Cross Safe, he not only found a large horde of these tickets, but also Jimi Hendrix's signed contract for his appearance! The ticket measures 5 x 2 inches and presents in absolute MINT condition.
