The archive offered in this lot spans nearly 100 years of cinema and consists of more than 1,500 photos emanating from the publicity files of film and television production offices. Most of the photos are related to the promotion of films being syndicated for television broadcast in the 1970s and 1980s, and most of the photos are of that vintage. However, among the 100s and 100s of photographs that were assembled for the various press kits and packages, some older, some even original to the year of the film's release, film studio promotional photos were included. The collection fills four standard file folder boxes, with over 300 folders. Stars include (but are certainly not limited to!): The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Marilyn Monroe, John Wayne, Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable, Cary Grant, The Three Stooges, Laurel and Hardy, Jerry Lewis, Dean Martin, The Marx Brothers, Sammy Davis, Jr., Robin Williams, Bill Kurtis, Madonna, Jackie Gleason, Ronald Reagan (and Bonzo!), Steve Martin, James Dean, Charlie Chaplin, Jayne Mansfileld, Natalie Wood, Steve McQueen, James Garner, Billy Crystal, Richard Gere, Reese Witherspoon, Greta Garbo, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Farrah Fawcett, Marlon Brando, Bill Murray, McCauley Culkin, Stiller and Meara, to name just a few!
