The offered massive display features an RIAA Gold Record Award for The Rolling Stones live LP Still Life along with a copy of the album and elaborate laser cut mattes with the band's name and portraits. The live album, recorded during The Stones 1981 American concert tour in support of Tattoo You, was released in June 1982 and certified gold by the RIAA on January 18, 1983. The offered award hails from that period, and its plaque reads: “Presented to Brian Krysz to Commemorate the Sale of More than 500,000 Copies of The Rolling Stones Long-Playing Record Album 'Still Life.'” In 1983, Brian Krysz was Program Director at radio station “96-ROCK” in Ocean City, Maryland. It was quite common for RIAA awards to be given not only to the band, but also producers, record label executive and, in this case, radio station program directors. It was a way for a record label to say thanks for supporting their artists. The award measures 17 x 21 inches, while the display measures 42 x 39 ½ inches. Near Mint condition.
