The offered pair of blue and white striped pajamas were worn by George Clooney as "Jimmy 'Dodge' Connelly" in the 2008 film Leatherheads in a scene where he attempts to seduce "Lexie Littleton" played by Renee Zellweger. The film tells the story of Clooney's character as the captain of the Duluth Bulldogs, a struggling 1920's professional American football team. Dodge is determined to save both his team and pro football in general when the players lose their sponsor and the league is on the brink of collapse. Clooney produced and directed the film, and largely re-wrote the script. The offered pajamas can be photo-matched to the scene in the film, and a large print of Clooney lounging in the upper bunk of the train card is included.

The pajamas are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from The Golden Closet. The pajamas emanate from Palace Costume Company, which has provided wardrobe for film and television productions for decades. The letter reads:

LEATHERHEADS-Striped Pajamas Worn by George Clooney as "Dodge Connelly." This pair of pajamas was worn by the character "Dodge Connelly" portrayed by actor George Clooney in the 2008 motion picture "Leatherheads." The costume is constructed out of blue and white striped cotton material and consists of a button front pajama top with pockets and matching bottoms. There are two HOLD tags attached with costume house name, actor's name, character's name, scene information, costume house sku number, costume description, and movie title written on them.

Mr. Clooney wore this costume in the sequence on the train to Duluth when Dodge sneaks into the upper bunk of the sleeping compartment shared with "Lexie Littleton" (Renee Zellweger). Lexie returns from the dining car to find him in her rightful place and resists his playful advances before befrudgingly taking the bottom bunk. The pajamas are in excellent screen worn condition.

The letter is signed by Palace Costume Company CEO Melody Barnett. Palace Costume was contracted to provide wardrobe for the film. LOAs from The Golden Closet are some of the most respected in the world of entertainment wardrobe, costumes and props. Starting in the the late 1940s, Golden Closet CEO Breanna Livie's grandfather, Charles James, worked as a costumer for the major studios for over 40 years. After many of the studios disbanded and sold off their costume and wardrobe departments in the 1970s, James and Breanna's father, James Livie, formed Costume Rentals Corporation, one of the first independent movie costume companies. And in 1990, James Livie formed Eastern Costume Company. In 1996, having gained her own extensive experience and familiarity with wardrobe and prop departments through her family, Breanna founded The Golden Closet.

The size "L" pajama top and bottom both have their "PALACE COSTUME CO." UPC code stickers intact, and the two Palace Costume HOLD tags are included. The first reads "HOLD PALACE GEORGE CLOONEY AS "DODGE" / Sc 53 N. 8 CHG. 13 / Int Train/Lexie's Berth," and the second reads "DODGE SC 53, INT LEXIE'S BERTH." The pajamas present with only mild wear.
