Offered are Dean Martin's wardrobe tuxedo pants worn in the 1957 MGM film Ten Thousand Bedrooms. The romantic comedy was released in April 1957, and it has the distinction of being Dean's first film after the break-up with longtime partner Jerry Lewis. The pants are tailored in the style of MGM wardrobe pieces of the period, and have the "Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer" tag sewn into the waist. The tag reads "Dean Martin / 1705 5407 - 34-31 1/4." The first four numbers represent the MGM production number for the film, and the last set of numbers are Martin's measurements for the pants. Martin wears a tuxedo in several scenes of the film, which portrays him as a hotel magnate who stumbles into a romantic farce while purchasing a hotel in Rome. One character takes umbrage with his over-zealous acquisition of so many hotel properties, ie "ten thousand bedrooms." Included with the lot are an original studio-issued  8 x 10 promotional photo from Ten Thousand Bedrooms featuring Dean in a tuxedo with co-star Eva Bartok and an 8 x 10 promotional photo of Lewis and Martin from the height of their fame. The pants present in used buy intact condition, with a tag from a previous auction still attached to a belt loop. No serious distresses. Near Mint condition.
