Elvis Presley Personally-Owned and Used Remington “60 DeLuxe” Razor Gifted to His Maid and Cook Nancy Rooks - LOA from Graceland Authenticated

The velvety vocal tones of the King of Rock ‘n Roll were matched only by the smooth skin on his freshly shaved face, which was kept trimmed by the offered Remington “60 DeLuxe” Electric Razor. The offered electric shaver may date from as early as the mid-1950s, as Remington produced the successful “60 DeLuxe” for a long period of time from the ‘50s into the ‘60s. That being said, this may have been one of Elvis’ earliest. There are a number of later models housed in the Graceland Archives, most likely indicating that he had not used the offered razor for some time prior to giving it away.

The shaver was gifted to maid and cook Nancy Rooks, apparently in 1974, based on the writing on the inside of the razor’s case, where she has labelled the year and “ELVIS PRESLEY” across the satin material. Nancy's handwritten, noatarized 1981 letter of authenticity is included. The case itself may be from a later period and mismatched with the razor. The simple crown logo on the case indicates a later vintage than the razor itself. Remington’s tag line for their early line of electric razors was “for the close, comfortable shave, reach for the Remington Electric shaver,” and now you can reach for the very razor that kept Elvis looking sharp. The razor was previously on display at Jimmy Velvet’s Elvis Presley Museum and his letter is included. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated, quoted here. The razor measures approximately 3 1/4 by 3 3/4 inches, and the case measures approximately 5 by 6 inches. The razor presents with signs of heavy use, and it does power up when plugged in. The case has separations to its lid, but is intact. Very Good to Excellent condition.
