Offered is an RIAA Triple Platinum Award for the Rolling Stones 1971 album Sticky Fingers. The award's plaque reads "Presented to CHARLIE WATTS to Commemorate the Sale of More Than 3,000,000 Copies of the ROLLING STONES RECORDS Album, Cassette & CD 'Sticky Fingers'". Sticky Fingers is considered one of the Rolling Stones' best albums. It was the band's first album to reach number one on both the UK albums and US albums charts. "Brown Sugar” topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 1971. The original cover artwork, conceived by Andy Warhol and photographed and designed by members of his art collective, The Factory, showed a picture of a man in tight jeans, and had a working zipper that opened to reveal underwear fabric. The album was released on April 23, 1971, and initially certified gold just weeks later on May 11, 1971. The album was certified 3X platinum on May 31, 2000. The offered award was produced at that time. The award measures 17 x 21 inches and presents in Near Mint condition.
