The Colonel was never shy about plastering promotional material everywhere at the International Hotel to promote Elvis’ concerts and would often use a successful marketing format for different shows and venues. Offered is a group of exemplars of the various marketing promotions the Colonel favored. The collection includes: two (2) 1972 mini-posters, depicting Elvis in a white jumpsuit with a red belt, each measuring 12 by 7 inches and with different backs, one for “Elvis Now!” through Labor Day at the Las Vegas Hilton and the second for the “World’s Largest Stuffed Teddy Bear” donated by Elvis and the Colonel; an “ELVIS IN PERSON ELVIS” round paper sign, measuring 9 inches in diameter that also reads “HEAR ELVIS ON RCA RECORDS” within the label of the record-shaped sign. This classic grouping exemplifies the advertising flavor of Elvis in the 1970s. The group is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated (quoted here--the original lot from that auction included five pieces, three are offered here). Near Mint condition.
