The offered collection of items from The Jell-O Program Starring Jack Benny emanated from the family of a young boy name Jimmy Ruffin, to whom they had all been sent during the 1940s. Little Jimmie had been ill for a number of years, and he and his mother engaged in an extensive letter writing campaign to various stars and radio programs. Jack Benny and his cast were extremely generous with their outpouring of photos, autographs and other ephemera. The collection includes:

  • “JACK BENNY” letterhead signed by cast members Jack Benny, Mary Livingstone, Rochester, Phil Harris, Dennis Day and Don Wilson;
  • 1940 Telegram to "Jimmie Ruffin & Family" reading “Best Wishes for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Jack Benny”; and
  • Jack Benny signed letter on his letterhead to Mrs. Ruffin, dated October 11, 1940;
  • Mary Livingstone signed and inscribed studio photograph - “To Jimmy, Kindest Regards”;
  • Five promotional photos with either facsimile or secretarial signatures – Jack Benny (secretarial), Rochester (facsimile), Dennis Day (facsimile), Don Wilson (secretarial), and Phil Harris (facsimile);
  • 1937 Jack and Mary's Jell-O Recipe Book (24 pages).

The original 2005 PSA/DNA Letter of Authenticity is Included. All photos show back damage from album mounting and several pieces are toned with age. Excellent condition with a few pieces lesser.
