The offered Official American League Cronin baseball has been signed on the sweet spot in blue ball point pen by Hall of Famer Ted Williams. These OAL balls were in use during Joe Cronin's reign as American League President from 1960 to 1973. Williams signed very heavily during the autograph boom of the 1990s, but vintage autographs are certainly harder to come by. This one was most-likely signed during his early retirement years or as a manager for the Washington Senators. The ball is well-toned, but the signature is a solid 6-7.
