Offrered is an RIAA Platinum Record Award for Billy Joel's 1982 LP The Nylon Curtain. The album was released in September 1982 and was certified Platinum by just December 7, 1982. The offered copy of the award was given to a Columbia west-coast record executive, Tony Zetland. The plaque on the award reads "Presented to Tony Zetland to Commemorate the Sale of More than 1,000,000 Copies of the Columbia Records Album and Cassette 'The Nylon Curtain.'" The award measures 17 x 21 inches and presents with minor wear excpet for several areas of mild mildew spots. Excellent condition.
