1940's Major League Team "Picture Pack" Collection

The lot presented here comes from a collection of 250 "Picture Pack" photos from six different Major League teams. The groups all hail from 1947-49 and include the Brooklyn Dodgers, New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, New York Giants, Cleveland Indians and Chicago White Sox. Of note are the 1947 Jackie Robinson examples, which uses the image from his Bond Bread Rookie card. Many of the complete 25-photo sets are accompanied by the original envelopes. The photos, on lightweight paper, each measure 6 1/2 x 9 inches and are traditionally very fragile. The offered collection is remarkably well-preserved, with most examples EX-MT, minimally, and many, many nicer examples.
