Offered is a 1954 Jackie Robinson Sliding into Home Original News Service Photo. The shot captures Jackie sliding into home coming from second on a hit by teammate Carl Furillo. The caption in the photo dates this to a game on July 27, 1954, against the Chicago Cubs at Ebbets Field. When a caption is IN the photo, it is by definition second generation, or Type III as PSA would designate a second generation photo printed in the era, which we believe this to be. The news service photo measures 5 3/4 x 7 3/4 inches. Small tears and staple holes. Excellent condition.
