Offered are a pair of Elvis Presley FULL TICKETS for his 8 PM concert at the Louisville, Kentucky Armory on November 25, 1956. The PRISTINE tickets are accompanied by the original ticket envelope. Our consignor's father was unable to attend the show--likely because of the heavy snow that had fallen in the area--leaving us with two near-perfect artifacts from the moment when Elvis became a superstar. We have never encountered another FULL TICKET from this concert. The show occurred just days after the premier of his first filme, Love Me Tender, and during the nationwide controversy concerning Elvis' bodily movements on stage, which were worrying to parents of his impressionable young fans. Even in Louisville, the Chief of Police told the local newspapers that he would forbid the popular singer from "wiggling" as he sang. The two shows were attended by more than 8,000 fans each without serious incident!. The ticket envelope shows moderate wear from handling, but the tickets present in STRONG Near Mint to Mint condition.
