Offered are four different 1958-60 HUGE “Armed Forces Radio & Television Service” 33 1/3 RPM 16-Inch LPs featuring Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins. SinglesThe four LPs include" 1958 (W-1219) Johnny Cash Ballad of a Teenage Queen / Big River; 1958 (W-1274) Johnny Cash It's Just About Time / I Just Thought You'd Like to Know, heavy damage to side B; 1960 Johnny Cash (W-1375) Johnny Cash Smilin' Bill McCall / Seasons of My Heart; and 1959 Carl Perkins One Ticket To Loneliness / I Don't See Me In Your Eyes Anymore. Unless noted, the large records present in VG condition with noticeable scuffing. The Armed Forces Radio & Television Service was established in 1942 by the War Department to broadcast popular American radio and television to troops, government employees and families stationed overseas. It is still in operation today under the name American Forces Network, and over the years many stars have rallied to support U.S. efforts abroad.
