Offered is a 1959 Nu-Card "Rock & Roll Stars" Complete display Box with 36 Unopened Packs. The Rock & Roll Stars set is a classic 64-card non-sports issue released at the height of the early rock 'n' roll era. Each card measures 3?" x 5?" and features a black-and-white posed portrait of the artist on the front with a simple white border and the player's name at the bottom. The backs are blank.
This set includes many of the biggest names from the birth of rock & roll, such as Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard, The Everly Brothers, Pat Boone, Ricky Nelson, Frankie Avalon, and many other teen idols and doo-wop groups. It is one of the very first major trading card sets dedicated entirely to rock and roll performers. The box presents with moderate wear and edge scuffing, but is intact. Excellent condition.
