Texas concluded their season with a victory over Roger Staubauch's Navy team in the Cotton Bowl Classic and won their first national championship. The ball is hand-painted with the "UT" logo and "1963 National Champions. The squad had six future NFL players, including George Sauer and Pete Lammon, both members of Joe Namath's Super Bowl III-winning New York Jets team.
