Offered is a 1969 Chicago Cubs Team Signed "Black Cat" 16x20 Photo. Signatures include Ernie Banks, Billy Williams, Fergie Jenkins, Paul Popovich, Don Young, Jimmy Qualls, Nate Oliver, Al Spangler, Ken Rudolph and Oscar Gamble. On September 9, 1969, during a crucial late-season game at Wrigley Field with the Chicago Cubs clinging to first place, a black cat darted onto the field, ran directly in front of Cubs third baseman Ron Santo in the on-deck circle, and then crossed in front of the Cubs dugout before disappearing.
Widely viewed as the ultimate bad omen, the incident symbolized the beginning of the Cubs? historic collapse, as they blew a substantial lead and lost the National League East to the ?Miracle Mets.?
