The accompanying May 19, 1990, letter from Sheri Lacker reads "My father, Marty Lacker, was a close friend and worked for Elvis Presley, for many years. I grew up at Graceland around Elvis. When I got into my teens I became interested in playing the guitar and Elvis gave me this Epiphone guitar, serial number 1135661."'
