The framed display has a description caption at the bottome that reads: “TIME Picture Editor John Durniak assigned photographers Ralph Morse and Henry Groskinsky to produce a picture that would show in one image Henry Aaron's entire 715th home run in Atlanta, April 8, 1974. In the 25 seconds it took, Morse and Groskinsky photographed the pitch, the home run hit, Aaron touching first, second and third and then the congratulations of his teammates at the dugout. They used a 4x5 view camera with strips of black paper mounted on a glass in front of the lens. As Aaron approached first, the black paper section covering first was lifted from the glass and an exposure made. The same lifting occurred for each of the 6 exposures it required to make this motion picture in still form: Due to late news, this remarkable photograph never appeared in the magazine.” Absolutely incredible, and POSSIBLY A ONE-OF-A-KIND relic of one of baseball history's most important moments.
