Offered are a pair of cleats worn by St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright for several games in September 2019, including the NLDS and NLCS that fall, based on Wainwright's handwritten notations on the left cleat. The MLB authentication dates the right cleat specifically to September 3, 2019, in a game versus the San Francisco Giants at Busch Stadium, but the image shown here clearly shows the same right cleat being employed the day before as well. The size Mizuno red, white and blue cleats have a custom reinforced bright toe area with a heavy blue rubber coating. This was the foot Wainwright would plant and drag during his pitching motion. The unique covering can be seen in the photo from September 3. This right cleat has MLB Hologram sticker #JD777750, which can be verified here. "Adam Wainwright #50" is signed on the right cleat, and "Adam Wainwright 2019 NLDS & NLCS G.U." The left cleat does appear to be on Wainwright's foot for both the early September games and his three appearances in the October NLDS andf NLCS. Each cleat is accompanied by a hologram sticker from Beckett Authentic. Moderate to heavy wear from use.
