Encapsulated Beckett Authentic Offered is a twice-signed check from NFL Commissioner Bert Bell, including a full name signature "De Benneville Bell" on the front. Interestingly, the check has been made out to Heisman Trophy winner Davey O'Brien, an extremely difficult autograph. The Davey O'Brien Award is presented annually to the best quarterback in college football. Bell was the second Commissioner of the National Football League from 1946 until his death in 1959. As commissioner, he introduced competitive parity into the NFL to improve the league's commercial viability and promote its popularity.
